The WV Wood Technology Center is a unique economic development resource managed by the Randolph County Development Authority. We provide specialized workforce development training, support to incubator businesses through office and/or bay rental, and meeting and special event space to businesses and organizations. Our focus is to support our county by helping to empower our local workforce with the skills they need to help businesses succeed. We provide customized training for businesses and their employees as well as technical, safety, and woodworking training to individuals.
Classes & Training
The WVWTC offers technical, equipment, and skills training that will help prepare you for success. Training is customized to your needs and can be provided in our facility or at your job site.
Technical Training
We provide technical classes and courses for the workforce. Classes include CNC Programming, Forklift Training, Hardwood Manufacturing Technician Traning, Moulder Setup and Operation, Epilog Laser Engraving, and NHLA Lumber Grading Short Courses.
Safety Training
We provide a variety of classes and courses pertaining to safety training for the workforce. Classes include OSHA 10 & 30 in Construction and General Industry, First Aid/CPR/AED training, and PEC Safeland USA training.
Woodworking Training
We provide a variety of woodworking training to entrepreneurs, artists, and hobbyists. Most classes are project-based with constant emphasis on safety.
Business Center
The WVWTC Business Support Center is a 5,000 square foot facility housing training rooms with kitchenette access, meeting space with video conferencing capabilities, and a 12-station computer lab. Our classrooms have state of the art multi-media capabilities and fiber broadband internet. Need office space? Our facility also houses incubator offices available for short-term or long-term rental.
